Charity Projects

• Loose Threads donates to a variety of groups. We make condolence quilts for Montgomery Hospital labor and delivery department. Approximately 15 are used each year. The nurses use these handmade quilts to wrap infants who do not survive birth. The parents may keep the quilt as a keepsake.
• Wheel chair and walker bags are given to the veterans at the Southeastern Veterans’ Center.
• Pillow cases are donated to ConKerr Cancer, a non-profit organization that provides them for children with life changing illnesses and injuries in North America and South Africa.
• We make quilts for Quilts for Kids, which provides quilts for children with cancer, aids and other life threatening illnesses, as well as battered and abused children.
• We collect personal care items and make knitted garments for the Lakota Indians in South Dakota.
