Quilter's Tea Activities - March 8, 2008

QUILT EXHIBIT
We will have a display of recent projects made by the Loose Threads members.

FRIENDSHIP BLOCK
We ask each person who comes to make a quilt block; the instructions are enclosed. Bring it on the day of the Tea. We will collect and then later raffle the blocks in the main hall following the discussion groups.

SHOW-AND-TELL
Bring along your latest project. We would like to see any quilts inspired by last year’s discussion groups, the friendship block raffle, or anything created from treasures you found in our garage sale. If you took one of the ‘Ugly’ Challenge bags last year, don’t forget to bring the result! Please do not bring any current guild raffle quilts.

CRAFT TABLE
There will be new handcrafted items and kits for sale made by our members.

GARAGE SALE
Shop for bargains at our garage sale loaded with fabric, sewing related items, books and magazines. Stuff a grocery bag with as much as you can for $3.

CHINESE AUCTION
Various quilting related items up for bid. Buy 3 tickets for $1 and enter in the drawing of the items that interest you.

CALENDAR
There will be a master calendar in the hallway where you can list quilt shows, workshops, lectures, etc., from your guild. If you list them on the back of your registration form, we will post them in advance.

REGISTRATION 2009
To have next year’s tea registration form sent directly to you please bring a stamped, self-addressed legal size envelope. We will have some stamped envelopes available for $0.75 in case you forget to bring one.

Directions to the First United Church of Christ

From Lancaster:

Take Rte. 23 east to Bridge St.; the Assembly of God Church will be on your left. Turn left onto Bridge St. and follow Bridge, crossing Rte. 724, down the hill into Spring City. At the light on Main St. proceed straight ahead to Chestnut St., turn right and the church is halfway up the block on your right

From Chaddsford:

Go north on Rte. 202 to Rte. 422 West. Take 422 West to the Royersford exit. Turn left onto Main St. and continue through Royersford and across the bridge into Spring City. Turn left at the light and go to Chestnut St. Turn right and the church is halfway up the block on your right.

From Downingtown:

Take Rte. 113 to Phoenixville. Turn left onto Rte. 23 and Rte 724. At the split follow Rte. 724 toward Spring City. Turn right at the light on New St. and continue to Main St. Turn right and follow Main to Chestnut St. Turn right and the church is halfway up the block on your right.
